Yazmin Ferrer was born in Mexico on June 1, 1957. She is a graduate of Frances Pasteur Normal School. Her artistic studies include History of Art, Art in Mexico, Composition, Form and Color at the Escuela de Arte del Instituto Anglo Espanol (1974 graduate), and she studied with Mexican art masters Dolores Diez de Sollano, Demetrio Llorden and Hermenegildo Sosa. Beginning in 1993, she has had a series of exhibitions in her home country. These include several shows at the Museo de la Acuarela, the Museum of Natural History, Universidad Simon Bolivar, and a show in the United States in 1996, Salon Las Bellas Artes (Illinois). In 2000 her work was chosen for inclusion in the Las Flores Restaurant of the Marriott Hotel in Mexico City, and since 2002 she has been represented at several galleries in Mexico. |
