Colque was born September 27, 1967 in Cuzco, Peru. He attended the regional art school "Carlos Baca Flor de Arequipa" from 1987 to 1988 and then studied at the Escuela Nacional Superior Autonoma de Bellas Artes del Peru, located in Lima, from 1989 to 1993. Critics and participants in the South American art scene claim that the artist's work exemplifies the rich, expressive nature of the art created in Peru. His piece "Espacios Dinamicos II y Elementos Subyugados", has garnered particular acclaim. Colque's colorful, abstract work reflects his introspective nature. His pieces, characterized by vivid red colors and punctuated by harmonious blues, yellows, greens and white shades, provoke a significant visual impact in the viewer.
