| You Yong was born into a family of nobility in Hebei Province, China in 1951. His parents are teachers at the Central Fine Arts Academy, which prohibited him from being able to attend the school to study art. Fortunately, his family�s neighbors and friends were also teachers at the Central Fine Arts Academy, so through their friendship, they gave You Yong an abundant art education. He is now a member of the Hebei Artists� Association and a director of the Hebei Oil Painting Institute. Through the years, You Yong had many achievements. In 1983, he was the first to hold a personal exhibition in Hebei. In 2000, he received the gold prize at the Beijing International Art Exposition and in 2001, he won first prize at the Beijing International Art Exposition. Collectors in China, USA, Japan, Singapore and many other countries have collected many of his works. |
